European Patent and Trademark Attorney
Gernot Schwanhäußer studied physics at the RWTH University in Aachen and at Imperial College London. His dissertation concerned semiconductors and the patentability of software. From 1996 to 1999 he was a patent manager in the industrial patent department of ALCATEL SEL AG, working in the fields of communication technology and railway signaling. He was admitted as a European Patent and Trademark Attorney in 1999. Following his professional training as a patent attorney at the Stuttgart firm Witte, Weller & Partner, he qualified as a German Patent Attorney in 2002. He then joined us and has been a partner since 2004. Today, Gernot Schwanhäußer represents clients mainly in the technical fields of optics, medical technology and mechanical engineering.
